What's New?

08/20/08: I haven't touched this site in almost two years?! Jeebus. Okay, I gave the bibliography a long-overdue update and sprucing up, made my bio relevant again, informed the top-level page that I'm no longer married, and fixed a bug that rendered the site unusable under IE 7. Possibly at the expense of being able to use it under IE 6. God, I hate Microsoft. Anyway, more updates will soon come. I hope.

First Draft Theater Presents: The Sound of Music

by Pete Butler

TITLE: The Sound of Music

SYNOPSIS: Based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, The Sound of Music is the story of a nun sent to be a nanny for a stuck-up Austrian family during World War II. But due to a zany case of mistaken identity, the "nanny" who arrives on their doorstep is none other than Elvis Presley.

The square, uptight von Trapps are in desperate need of somebody like Elvis to teach them the value of music, love, and gyrating their hips. Sexy eldest daughter Liesl (Ann-Margaret) is particularly receptive to The King's lessons.

After many exciting adventures and musical numbers, the movie ends with Elvis taking Liesl on a motorcycle to Switzerland to escape her father, a Nazi.

CAST:
Maria: Elvis Presley
Liesl von Trapp: Ann-Margaret
